THE HITSPROUDLY DISPLAYING THEIR TREASURE AFTER A HARD FOUGHT GAME OF TWO ON ONE IN MY DRIVEWAY!
I was in dire need for some ripping, and since its been over a month since I last visited the ol rack of shame I figured it was about that time. I took a brief exit from the BBQ get together I was hosting, and with advice from my nephew Kevin blasted off to Wally World for box of basketball cards.
Upon arrival I noticed yet another box of retail/ hobby, but this time it was a $49.95 box of 09 Upper Deck Basketball ( what a coincidence). I'm sure I overpaid for it, but the excitement this box generated when I brought it home to my nephew, and his best friend Tyler was definitely worth every penny.
For the record not only do I not follow basketball, but never ripped a pack of basketball cards in my life let alone a whole hobby box. So it was good to have these two fine young experts on hand to help me along the way. I must say not knowing a damn thing about this sport really made this break fun, and having two fans of the game to key me in on who's hot made it that much better.
You could see the excitement painted on their faces as they pulled players like Lebron, and Kobe. I'm sure you can imagine the expression on Kevin's face when he pulled the Tracy McGrady game used.
Watching these two kids rip through these packs I was once again reminded that this is a hobby for our youth, and at 35 years old what a great pleasure it was to still be a part of it.
Although the boys may have pulled a majority of the goodies, and left with the box. It was a 35 year old baseball card collector who made out the best.
