WINNER!!!

Beardy Wins!

Christy Mathewson had 12 consecutive 20 game seasons from 1903-1914.

This also included four 30 game seasons.

The only person to come close was Warren Sphan with 6 consecutive 20 game seasons.

It is the only record in M.L.B that will never be broken.

Steroids or not.

Congrats Beardy,

You got the slot, and the cards are on the way.

  1. Sweet! It was a good question, and I'm lucky to have gotten it right.

  2. Damn.

I knew it had to do with wins. I just went with Johnson on a stab in the dark.

    Congrats Beardy.

  3. Nice CD of the week. Fair Warning is an underrated album. It's my favorite after VH and VH II.

  4. Great question! I want to throw another record out there that will NEVER be broken: Charles Radbourn's 60 wins in 1884. Not only did he win 60 games, he had an era of 1.38 and 441 K's.

  5. Thanks Mel

I think I'm going to go the trivia route for the final 4 slots.

    Stay tuned!

I agree. Although it was stepped on by critics, and none of the songs made the top 100 it was by far some of their best work.

I guess Eddie was struggling with cocaine, and alcohol abuse during the time the album was recorded. Thats why it has a darker more sinister sound to it.

    Thanks
