Prospect Spotlight " Buster Posey"

The Giants 5th overall pick in the first round of the 2008 draft Posey is considered by many scouts to be the best catching prospect to hit the scene since former first rounder Joe Mauer. Baseball America has him as the #1 catching prospect in the country, and my man Sickles has him as the #2 in A Giants organization loaded with talent. Posey is a very athletic catcher, and can also play shortstop. He has good strike zone knowledge, an advanced hitting approach,  and hits for average with power. I know its early but so far @ single A San Jose Posey is on a tear hitting 405 with 3 H.R, and 10 R.B.I's. My prediction is the power numbers will rise, and the average will drop to around 360 followed by a quick promotion to AA Connecticut. At 22 Posey is going to make it through the system rather quickly so if your looking to pick up some of his cards now is the time to do it. You can get his 2008 Bowman Chrome autograph for around 30.00 on the open market, and his  08-09 Donruss & Razor products like the Letterman pictured above run in the 30.00- 60.00 range.
