Two for the road

With this weeks paycheck 99% spent I decided to stop at The Dave & Adams retail store on the way to band practice and spend my last Twenty. As you can tell from previous posts I really enjoy ripping single hobby packs of Stadium Club. With one guaranteed auto per pack you really cant go wrong, and with one pack remaining from last weeks visit I decided to seal the deal. With a little over $6.00 to spend I wandered over to main display, and grabbed a pack of 08 Masterpiece. I'm still over ten short prints shy of set completion, and decided to go that route. I cashed out walked over to the glass counter, and riped the two packs right on the spot. Three cards into the Stadium Club pack, and in place of the First Day Issue was the Dice K Stadium Slice relic pictured above. The card is numbered 105/428, and has a shiny piece of the old Yankee stadium wall on the card. At first I didn't know what to think of it, but after touching what feels like rubber you cant help but wonder how many Hall of Famers may have came in contact with it. I also pulled a Brandon Boggs on card autograph, a Nolan Ryan short print, a C.C Sabathia short print, and a Carlos Lee 599/999. As for the single Masterpiece pack I pulled a Chris Duncan game used, and a Yogi Berra short print that left me just nine cards short of set completion. Just to let everyone know I will be holding the mother of all giveaways next week, and will be limited to 20 contestants. Your not going to want to miss out on this one trust me. Everyone who participated in the Goudey give away your cards are packed, and I will get them to the Post Office by Wednesday. As usual all cards pictured above are negotiable.
