Quick Stop!

Hello everyone!

On my way to yesterday's incredible gig at The Double D's ( yes the name of this joint is named after the owner) I stopped at The Dave & Adams retail store on Sheridan Dr. in Tonawanda. My original plan was to pick up two five packs of 130 Pt holders for some cards, but with A whopping $30.00 on me I knew that wouldn't be possible. For those of you that aren't familiar with Dave & Adams retail store in Tonawanda its one of the finest card shops in NY state, and one of the best shops  I have ever graced my hand upon. As I approached the counter with my holders I spotted A freshly opened hobby box of 2008 Stadium Club on the shelf. Like the rest of the collector universe with A price tag of over 200.00 I didn't get A chance to rip much Hobby this year, and relied on retail for a majority of the cards I accumulated. So I decided to blow off my gas money, and take my chance on a 13.65 pack of what I knew would contain at least 1 certified autograph or A redemption for one. As I ripped open the pack I spotted the redemption for Chris Perez, and tucked neatly under it was A 1/1 Ryan Howard black printing plate. How cool is that! I also pulled a John Smoltz 37/599 First Day Isuue, and a Chin-Lung Hu 531/999. All cards are for trade ( or if you need them really bad A trade to be named later) I hope everyone enjoyed their packages I sent them, and I will post pictures of our gig at The Double D's later on tonight.

Thanks

The Mojo Hand

  3. Nice pulls. I really wanted to give Stadium Club a shot last year but couldn't find or afford it.

Of course, I remember thinking it was way too expensive back in 1991, but I bought it anyway back then.

  6. Man, there was no Dave & Adam's during all the years I spent in Buffalo. Now I'm just dying to go back so I can get to that store. I can't wait.
