On card me please!

There is something about an on card autograph that gets your boy Mojo's heart pumping. As a matter of fact it has become the cornerstone of my collection, and to A majority of collectors out there as well. I have come to understand that sticker autographs are here to stay, and are not going anywhere. You can only shout so loud before you lose your voice, and well lets just say I need some Honey Tea. As far as prospects go I still cant understand why stickers should be used. A majority of us that have visited a Minor League park realize how accessible these kids are, and how willing they are to sign. If I could get eleven on card autographs in under an hour imagine what a multimillion dollar company could do. My wife asked me the simple question " if they had time to sign the sticker why not just sign the card?"  I responded "Its costly, and time consuming kinda like the Hobby in general" you know that's the truth. Whatever the reason for sticker autographs be it player unavailability, design, redemption's, shipping, etc.  I just wish they would do it right. More transparent stickers, better alignment, and proper signature framing would help make them more appealing to collectors. With the ever increasing amount of sticker autographs surfacing, and fewer products issuing on card versions will the day come when on card autographs are no longer used? This may someday become A reality, and if its one thing I have noticed from 17 years of collecting eventually all good things do come to an end. Pictured above are a few autographs from my collection. Notice the on card Markakis from last years Finest, and the 04 Origins of Chutley that is  no longer is in production.

  2. I agree 100%. All autos should be on-card ALL of the time.

Is that Markakis for trade? Hit me up if it is, I'm sure we can work out a deal.

  3. I collect on-card autos too. My favorites are the ones from the late 90's... Century Legends: Epic Signatures, UD Retro: Inkredible, & of course the Donruss Signatures: Significant Signatures. Up until around a year or two ago, you could get these really cheap. Now they're starting

I have A gig near The Falls and have to run. We can talk about the Markakis when I get back later on tonight. Fuji I also collect Donruss Signatures, we have to do some sharing, and maybe some trading as well.

    Thanks for the input,
